I think that art should be dynamic and vibrant, a celebration of the vision of beauty and life that the artist holds.
To me, glass offers more possibilities than many other materials. It gives me a path to you, the viewer. The light going through the glass defines the texture and color. The composition, with the light and shadow makes it pure magic, increasing the emotive qualities of the work.
Glass gives me the ability to lend my own voice to my work, connecting my personal life experiences, emotions and feelings to the pieces I make. When I started, I didn’t choose glass; glass chose me. Now I see that I don’t ‘work glass’; I’m ‘working with glass’. Day by day, my works build up their own vocabulary and soul. When you viewing those sculptures, do you hear my voice in the glass talk?
